Also the giga editor it's a real pain in the ass, because the changes you make it doesn't save on your performance file so you have to have a lot of different files from the same instrument on your hard drive.and so on and so on. Meaning, you can't add your effects (vst-plugins, reverb, delay,s EQ, and compressor units from your sequencer) in real-time, you have to stick to giga's own effects (which they are pretty poor). The thing that bothers me the most in giga is the fact that it doesn't fully integrates with your sequencer. There are some answers on their forum.Humm, speaking of kontakt perhaps you could help me out we a few questions that I have Frederick.įirst of all I am a gigastudio user and I have never used any other sampler than giga.
#EWQLSO DFD UPDATE#
Are you using the DFD (Direct from Disk)? There was an update to this.Īre you using multiple instances of EWQLSO? They recommend using as few as possible with more channels per instance. I use the included Kompakt player with 2 gb RAM. I have this same setup and HAVE seen this error. I'll also check their forum for answers (somehow I never enjoyed their forum, the info is not so well organized as it is here) I'll check if I am using the latest version of DFD. I didn't even know that one can use Kontakt instead. SH, I also use the included comapkt player.
#EWQLSO DFD DRIVER#
I accidently discovered that when I use my laptop which I use a Presonus Firebox with, then that doesn't happen and I can use all the GPO I want, so I figured it's some sort of clash/incompatibility between the implementation of how Finale sets up GPO and the driver for the Tascam US-122.īTW, I never did find a solution to the problem and so I strictly use Finale as a notation program and don't even try to get playback out of it.
#EWQLSO DFD INSTALL#
On the other hand, if I don't install any form of GPO Finale works just as it is supposed to. If I install GPO, when I go to save anything in Finale, it crashes with that ntdll.dll dialogue.
#EWQLSO DFD FULL VERSION#
I have this same problem (ntdll.dll incompatibility) with Finale 2006c when I use a Tascam US-122 audio interface and try to use either the lite GPO that comes with Finale or the full version that I also own. Maybe it is some incompatibility with a driver or even another plugin in the project. I have created an image of my C drive so going back to where I am now is not a problem. I should try to install only sonar and ewqlso only and see what happens. I assume you've already scanned for viruses, spyware, adware, etc? Do you have software for making a bootable CD? Most software that tests hard drives needs to be on a CD that you can boot with. The Web site of the manufacturer of your hard drive should have a link to downloadable hard-drive testing software. I started gettting strange error messages, ran a hard-drive utility, and discovered that the drive was getting ready to fail. I had to replace the hard drive on my non-music computer last fall. The other thing that comes to mind is that there may be a bad sector or sectors on your hard drive. The amount of RAM is listed toward the bottom of the first tab. Right-click My Computer and choose properties. You might want to check and make sure Windows is seeing all your memory. Odd error messages and problems with software can sometimes be traced to bad memory. I don't have a link for it, but I'm sure someone else on the forum does. The first thing I'd do is test your memory. I searched for error messages related to ntdll.dll, and they're rare (I found only seven references to ntdll.dll). Your problem sounds more like a Windows issue or a hardware problem rather than a problem specific to EWQLSO. I've been fixing computers part-time since 1996, so I have a reasonably good understanding of computers and Windows errors.
